With the sales year concluded, we thought it would be interesting to review the GunBroker.com records for 2015 to see where all firearms (new and used) sold on the site were shipped. The data provides insight on how firearms sold in each region of the country. To compensate for population centers, we’ve also included data from the U.S. Census on percentages of the U.S. adult population each area represents. There are some interesting results as you’ll see. For example, the North Central region accounts for sales nearly double its representation in the population. South Central saw the highest percentage of GunBroker.com sales, and well exceeded its percentage of the adult population. The Southwest and Northeast regions are the laggards, accounting for approximately half or less sales than their representation in the population.
